Ray is a partner with his parents in Ray-Lin Dairy in Denair, Ca. The operation milks 475 cows and double crops corn & winter forage on 130 of the 240 acres with about 90 acres of pasture. The family also has 1200 ac operation in Klamath Falls OR that raises alfalfa hay, wheat hay, and oat hay. Ray is currently secretary of the Agchat Foundation an entity he helped found whose mission is to empower farmer to use social media. He is currently a on the board of directors of CA Dairy Campaign, Dairy CARES, and is the 2nd Vice-President of Stanislaus County Farm Bureau. He is also a member of the National Dairy Board. In addition to his involvement in agricultural organizations’ he is the Chairperson of the Governance Committee at a newly formed charter school his daughter attends, and serves as a director for the East Stanislaus Resource Conservation District. Ray and his wife Erica live on the dairy with their two children.

If Mercy for Animals really cared about protecting animals from abuse, they would quit worrying so much about their agenda and stop the abuse as soon as it happened!

Just what the public needs to see. An operation owned by a corporation, hiring illegal aliens to beat calves to death. You will notice I didn’t mention farming. This is not farming. I am appalled to be lumped into the same group with them!

- Paul I too am appalled at the actions of a few in Texas. However I have know personal knowledge of the E6 Ranch and can’t say they are a corporation or their employees are illegal aliens. Both may well be true as well as they could also be false. I am only judging what I saw on the video and will leave judgment on any unknowns to such a time that I have the proper knowledge to make an accurate judgement.

I agree with Critter Mike (whose post I don’t see up here) – – if people really cared about animals, they wouldn’t be in the business of making a buck off of these gentle animals and exploiting them. That is what it is: exploitation. No matter how you try to dance around it. I guess some people can “love” the animals while simultaneously exploiting them, but to many of us that shows a disconnect of conscience.
My health got so much better years ago when I went vegan, and I can’t imagine ever going back.

Hello Dairy Farmers… uh , we get it , not all dairies are bad. But MFA is most certainley doing the right thing in exposing cruelty. I know this has negative effects on your “good” business as well. And believe me I love milk and cheese but NOT at the expense of those pitiful animals. We consumers don’t know which dairy farms are being cruel vs. which ones are not. How about ya’ll stepping up and making sure the Dairy Business has strict policies , laws, and consequences to guard against the bad guys getting away with it. Surely word travels in small circles and whispers of abuse are heard. Do something about it and Root them out so I can enjoy some cheese with a peace of mind !!
